We’re going for the loud-and-clear option. Join us, and tell Microsoft that you want to keep XP available indefinitely. Not for another six months or a year, but indefinitely.
InfoWorld — www.SaveXP.com
Under Microsoft’s current plans, June 30 is the last day that Microsoft will have XP available for sale as shrink-wrapped software, as well as available from computer makers as an installation option on new computers. Makers of white-box computers can sell XP until December 31. Infoworld is advocating for Microsoft to keep XP available indefinitely due to customer demand.
So far, 21,572 people (on January 16, 2008) had signed InfoWorld online petition to demand that Microsoft not stop OEM and shrinkwrapped sales of Windows XP as planned on June 30, 2008, but instead keep it available indefinitely.
If you plan to postpone upgrading to the new Microsoft Vista operating system, then sign the petition here:
Save Windows XP Petition
Is the petition enough to get Microsoft to change their minds and not discontinue Windows XP on June 20, 2008? Just wait the answer in this spring.

I like my XP and don't want to move to Vista. XP can handle many types of application that are not compatible with Vista.
